A bright and beautiful graduation cake
Our high school grad didn’t want the traditional “Congratulations!” cake but something that reflected her love of bright colors and the shabby chic decorating style. We were happy to give it to her.
The cake is a three tier extravaganza that serves 75 happy guests. The bottom tier is (shockingly) German Chocolate with Coconut Pecan filling. I think we’ve made more German Chocolate cakes this year than all the other years total! The middle tier is three layers, Orange Creamsicle, Butter Yellow and Strawberry all filled with Cream Cheese filling. The top tier is Lemon with Lemon Curd filling. The whole cake was then iced in butter cream and covered with fondant for a smooth finish. The handmade peonies, hibiscus and hydrangeas were, literally, the icing on the cake!
Our grad loved her cake and we were delighted to be a part of her special day.
